Join Santa Cruz Poet Laureate, Nancy Miller Gomez, Leigh Sugar and Dion O'Reilly in celebrating the debut of Leigh Sugar's poetry collection, Freeland (Alice James Books). Food and Wine provided (but feel free to bring food or beverage of your choice to share). Doors open at 6 PM for socializing. Reading begins at 7 PM, followed by a book signing. About Leigh: Leigh Sugar's debut poetry collection, FREELAND, is forthcoming from Alice James Books in 2025, and she created and edited That’s a Pretty Thing to Call It: Prose and poetry by artists teaching in carceral settings (New Village Press, 2023). Her work appears in POETRY, jubilat, Split this Rock, and more.
